Research strongly backs the use of play as the best form of learning. Through experimentation a child can understand why certain things happen, i.e. mixing blue and yellow paint to make green or writing the letter b in sand can help letter formation and gross motor skills early on. Our learning approach will encourage this natural curiosity and sense of exploration with clear, purposeful play-based activities.
Our bilingual school in Geneva's core mission is to provide a one-of-a-kind learning adventure that enriches your child’s knowledge and nurtures their well-being. We seek to open a door to a world of possibilities, igniting their innate curiosity and nurturing their desire to explore.

Bilingual School in Geneva
Bilingual Double Curriculum
At our bilingual school in Geneva, we teach a double curriculum, following the Swiss PER and English National Curriculum. By respecting the expectations of the Swiss National Education System in terms of a common base of knowledge for children in preschool and primary school, La Nouvelle École is committed to enabling children to integrate into any type of school system when they enter primary school: whether it be a public school, private school or an international school, in Switzerland or abroad.
We provide a rich learning environment with opportunities for children to play, explore and create. We seek to harness the natural curiosity of children by encouraging child-initiated learning and open-ended play. These aspects are supported by the best classroom equipment and materials for learning by investigation.

Nursery Section
La Nouvelle École offers a bilingual school section for 2-year-olds, providing a quality alternative to the crèche system. This stable and reassuring educational approach enables toddlers to gain confidence and autonomy, easing their transition to Kindergarten. Here, children learn the basics of living together and the foundations of academic learning, as well as practising English daily from an early age. Places are available all year round, so children can be welcomed from the age of 2 in our bilingual school in Geneva.
Start early for success
Experimental research in educational neuroscience shows that the level of oral language in the Early Years Foundation Stage is the best predictor of academic success in primary school as well as the best predictor of a child’s progress in learning. Stimulating children’s oral language skills in the early grades is a significant advantage for their future learning in all areas (Literacy, Mathematics, Science, etc.).
Our nursery is a stimulating, dynamic setting where each child is unique and is encouraged to reach their full potential and develop with confidence and independence.
In our bilingual nursery, the day is structured around the needs of the child. The classroom is safe and welcoming and provides endless opportunities to explore and learn. Our fully qualified teachers are on hand to accompany and extend our nursery children on their learning journeys

What sets our holiday camps apart is their strong connection to the school’s pedagogical approach. Designed as an extension of our educational vision, the camps are led by a team composed of our teachers, who are familiar with the children and their families, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
Throughout the week, qualified English-speaking and French-speaking teachers guide children through engaging activities, including arts, science, music, singing, reading, and interactive games. These enriching experiences foster natural language acquisition while sparking curiosity and creativity in a fun and welcoming environment.
