Bilingual Kindergarten and Preschool: Our Approach

Themes

New themes are introduced every few weeks in our French English bilingual kindergarten and preschool in Paris and Geneva, allowing children to explore a range of fascinating topics such as continents, the changing seasons, the solar system, famous landmarks, animals and habitats, cultural festivals, and the natural environment.

Communication and Language Skills

We focus on nurturing each child's overall development, with special attention to communication, language growth, creative expression, and fostering a deeper understanding of the world.

Individualised Education

We cultivate a vibrant learning environment with small class sizes that enable individualised learning. This personalised approach allows us to tailor our teaching to meet each child's unique needs, fostering academic excellence and personal growth.

Child-Centred Pedagogy

By incorporating Montessori teaching methods, we inspire independence and ignite curiosity, fueling a passion for learning. Our bilingual kindergarten's holistic approach encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity, allowing children to explore, question, and connect meaningfully with their surroundings.

Social-Emotional Skills

We empower the students at our bilingual kindergarten in Paris and Geneva to become confident, helpful, and inquisitive learners, with a focus on developing strong social and emotional skills.

Wellbeing

Each day at our bilingual school is filled with engaging workshops, nutritious lunches, outdoor sports and nature play, and creative arts workshops.

Child-Centred Pedagogies

In the Montessori approach, each child is considered unique, with their own needs, interests and skills. Therefore, the Montessori educational program is designed to allow each child to progress at their own pace, rather than forcing them to follow a uniform curriculum.

The organization of spaces allows children to move freely and choose their activities. Children at our bilingual schools in Paris and Geneva are encouraged to move around and work at their own pace.

The Reggio Emilia approach is an alternative educational approach that emphasizes learning through play, discovery, creativity and collaboration. By allowing children to engage in meaningful learning experiences we instil a love of learning and prepare children for the transition into school.

In both approaches - the environment is considered the third educator. The belief is that if children are placed in a beautiful environment, with stimulating materials to work with, they will be motivated to explore and respect the environment.

Bilingual Education in Paris and Geneva

Teaching French and English in Preschool and Kindergarten is one of our core values, promoting both cultural openness and the personal enrichment of our students. With our schools located in Paris 7th and Geneva, offering bilingual education is a natural extension, further enhancing the international character of our communities.

We offer a fully bilingual educational programme, immersing your child in two distinct linguistic worlds. At La Nouvelle École, it’s not simply about learning a second language— your child will learn, grow, and receive instruction in both languages simultaneously. This is an important distinction.

Our high-quality academic programme is taught by native English and French-speaking teachers, ensuring that students not only benefit from bilingualism but also receive a strong academic foundation delivered by experienced educators.

By being immersed in an international environment, our students naturally thrive in our bilingual kindergarten in Paris and Geneva, developing linguistic fluency and cultural understanding.
